I have spoken to four different specialists in international law about the Gaza war, and all four believe it is likely that war crimes and crimes against humanity have indeed been committed.
But the fact is he did write it, confirming the ICC judgement. Yes, he stopped before uttering the dreaded word "genocide" because it's like a fig leaf he's clutching desperately to hide his complete naked admission. I am not defending Freedland, I detest everything he stands for, but an automatic knee-jerk reaction to what he writes, without reading it, is not the right response. Frankly, I'm amazed he wrote anything approaching such an admission. He could have remained silent or not even admitted he consulted these "four specialists in international law" when they all said war crimes had been commited.
Let's keep our heads and remain objective.
