Sackur was the worst (best?) example of a smug and complacent BBC staffer who exists in a totally artificial universe. In that sense he isn't a "liar" because he is sincere in his warped and deluded worldview. Greenwald exposed this in 2 or 3 minutes without much effort. In the longer interview try and keep count how many times he uses the words "independent", "impartial", "truth" as a kind of mantra and bragging about not having any opinions. Odd the beeb should fire him when he's the perfect role model for their kind of "journalist-interviewer." |
