All over the front pages of the papers in the supermarket today: https://www.frontpages.com/uk-newspapers/ Headlines all variations of 'rape charges', 'sexual assault', '4 women'. Trial by media as usual means his name will be tarnished forever and the prospects of a fair trial are strongly diminished. Might be the best possible outcome to have charges aired out in court rather than just hanging in the air as vague accusations. Still, even if he is able to prove his innocence, which is unlikely after all this time, it won't salvage his reputation. Which is the point. (Of course, if there is conclusive evidence against him he should be held accountable.)
