The Russian army clearly have a low attrition rate and have had such from early on: maintaining that is a successful strategy.
Changes to that careful strategy would doubtless involve more risk taking and thus more death. Why would they do so when they are bleeding Ukraine dry of soldiers and Europe of armaments for relatively little cost in Russian lives?
