He doesn't seem to have had time to dismantle the gun after the shot: anyone with the time frame from shooting to dropping from the roof? It seems almost immediately after the shot he runs.
Yet he doesn't appear encumbered by carrying a big rifle as drops down or indeed runs off, but if he didn't disassemble and it's just well hid from the camera viewpoint, it might explain why it was still assembled when found.
On that the rifle first appears photoed in a box...from exactly where? Left earlier?? Though it's meant to have been discarded in a towel...where's the towel?
So they say they have the guys DNA from the site: presumably from the roof, abandoned screwdriver, towel, gun, box (?)
This can tie him to the gun, but in a chain of evidence the gun surely needs linked to the crime.
On that they appear still not to have the bullet that killed Kirk...so how are they going to prove that weapon found in the woods was the actual murder weapon without any ballistics?
Reports are now coming in that they are re-slabbing the area of the murder: seems bizarre if they haven't actually got the bullet which is surely crucial evidence.
