Part of the history course was Africa 1830-1910. It was interesting to see how the Euros stole bits of Africa and accelerated the destabilisation of the African interior, that led to the Euros encroaching further to impose their version of order in the interior that destabilised more of the interior and so on.

IN the C20th there was no more interior to occupy to stop the destabilisation that the Euros had begin in the 1440s. Colonialism ended but imperialism didn't, merely changing its clothes, keeping Africa trapped in the Euro-American, then American-Euro trading system.
