It may be true but if you look at the way Max conducts this interview you can see he is basically teeing Jorge up and letting him get his talking points out. The fact that some of them don't match with what we "know" so far (no inside man/betrayal, etc.) seems to make it clear that there is some element of spin here.

Just because we agree ideologically with what he says doesn't mean they don't employ the same media strategies that the empire does.
