In the late 60s to 1973 we used to go and stay at Uncle Tom's in Barking so me mum and me nana could watch Wimbledon on the telly. Uncle Tom would organise some free or cheap tickets for them. Imagine going down the M1 in a Bedford van with wooden benches along the sides and me sat in the wheel well on a camping stool. When I watch Withnail I keep a lookout for it on the motorway. We went all over and I liked the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum. Didn't like the V&A though, all them clothes. Oh and the IWM, especially the big guns outside.
