I mean it's predictable that Chomsky would argue like this. He does it all the time in fact. What he does is rather clever. He slips 'accepted premises' into his argument without giving people the opportunity to examine them, or perhaps even realise this is happening, then he uses them to justify his conclusions and logic. This is fine, I suppose. People do this all the time in language and rhetorically. His facility with language, understandably, and logic is so good, that one can easily forget to examine the premisses everything is built on and he employes them selectively depending on whether he supports the target or not. Like he loathes the Syrian regime, but is fond of the 'anarchistic' Kurdish factions.
