https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b007qmsj/andrew-marrs-history-of-modern-britain-5-new-britannia Throughout his watchable series the History of Modern Britain, Andrew Marr fully availed himself of the vulgar wisdom of hindsight. Anyone with half an hour to waste might be amused to take the same advantage over this episode which was repeated on Tuesday but first shown before the Crash in 2007. Marr briefly but creditably leads with his chin by offering a glimpse of his own “Mission Accomplished” speech outside number 10. As for what he calls the “Great Mistake” he could still lean on the Kelly enquiry to wash away the stains, uncoverably exposed by Chilcot, of the Great Crime. Brown v Blair was still hot gossip in 2007 when this film was made, and there of course Andrew finds his element.
