Williamson isn't really my cup of tea. He must be particularly obtuse not to understand that in the current climate wading into the debate about 'anti-semitism', Jews and Israel, is like rushing head first into a minefield. Aren't their more relevant, to internal UK politics and ordinary peoples' lives, issues these people can occupy their time with?
Still, Williamson is being sanctioned not because he said anything remotely anti-semitic or unlawful, or untrue; but because of a mere opinion, his opinion that Labour hasn't handled this issue well at all, and who can disagree with that? Williamson, clearly doesn't think that 'anti-semitism' is a massive problem within the Labour Party, so why are we apologising for it, for something that doesn't really exist. That's his opinion. Apparently one isn't allowed to have it or express it anymore. That Corbyn doesn't seem to appreciate how bad this looks, isn't surprising. He's not very bright is he?
That he doesn't see the potential for reversing the situation, capitalising it, occupying the moral highground and galvanising his supporters, simply shows that he's not the right man for the job.
