Surely the way to deal with this is not to get drawn into the pre-demarcated boxing ring? Rather stay outside that space and argue from a higher moral ground ... for Palestinian human rights. George Galloway often does that rather well. During apartheid years, liberal (often English-speaking) whites would waste time getting drawn into vicious arguments with conservative (often Afrikaans-speaking) whites over the Afrikaner's exceptionalist Covenant With God ("Gelofte') which granted them South African land rights, etc. English-speaking South African critics would be accused of shameful anti-Afrikanerism. Thus the most successful anti-apartheid campaigners didn't argue on that patch of land. They positioned themselves elsewhere and focused purely on the human rights of the oppressed. “A prevailing theory or paradigm is not overthrown by the accumulation of contrary evidence,” scientist Richard Zeckhauser wrote, “but rather by a new paradigm that, for whatever reasons, begins to be accepted...."
