Hi CJ, agreed politicians should take most of the blame but ... 'trusted' and 'conned'? No, I think people who sign up to the armed forces are complicit in war crimes if they don't resist and disobey orders etc. There's no conscription and adults should take responsibility for their actions (though I'd have more sympathy for young kids who have no other job opportunities). Propagandist support for 'our brave boys' across the media spectrum is no excuse: it should be obvious that their 'service' is not to 'British citizens' but to the oil industry and other corporate interests. In fact citizens are worse off, not 'protected' or any other BS, because of what they do. Playing the victim because a specsavers employee refuses to go along with that charade of deference is just pathetic IMO. If a veteran has no limbs after participating in the invasion/occupation of Iraq does that make them any less of a perpetrator or absolve them of their responsibility for the destruction of that country and its people? cheers, I
