Wit a bit of luck, if the MPs are responsible and sensible, they'll attempt to engineer a much longer extention allowing a real and qualified debate to take place prior to another referendum. For the Tories, of course, what's at stake now is the survival of their party electorally. Is that best served by a hard Brexit or an election, or delaying Brexit for a long time?
Labour seems more united than the Tories, at present. But everything is melting down so quickly, anything could happen going forward. Both Labour and the Tories falling to pieces and an historic political re-alignment. Are the Tories going to dump May and choose a rightwing nationalist demagogue like Boris Johnson to fight a Brexit election, or what?
At this stage, Corbyn is doing rather well. Watching the Tories self-destruct and managing to keep Labour united. What he mustn't do is becoming distrated by anything else and concentrate his mind and energies on the central issues and challenges facing the nation.
