The tweet doesn't actually say JA is being denied medical treatment in Bellmarsh Correct, CJ. I guess as he's allowed no lawyers or other visitors no-one knows exactly what's going on, medical-wise. Perhaps the prison doctor has seen him? Who knows? But C. Assange seems to indicate she knows he hasn't had the proper 'hospital treatment' that's been recommended. As an aside, I find this sort of news appalling, maybe because it triggers memories of South Africa, circa 1970 to 1990, where journalists and dissidents were bundled into police vans by Security Branch officers and driven off into the black holes of indefinite detention, refused access to lawyers and doctors, etc. These were very dark times in SA and people of conscience both domestically and internationally would protest loudly. Red Cross International and Amnesty would be contacted to try and bring pressure to bear for medical and visiting right in detention. These sort of protests don't seem to feature in the UK now, which is astonishing and scary. Thousands pour out into the streets of London for Extinction Rebellion, but where are the people defending free speech? George Galloway, Patrick Henningsen and one or two others have spoken outside Belmarsh to tiny groups (YouTube footage indicates between 30 to 100 people max?).
