Huntsman must know full well that all those tons would simply be at the bottom of the drink in the blink of an eye, being easily countered by modern ballistic missile technology and are effectively worthless unless used against defenceless (i.e. poor) countries. The U.S. Naval Institute has already admitted that the US has no defence against such attacks. Perhaps there is a dawning recognition that as fewer people are falling for the humanitarian/ war crime demonisation rationale, they might as well just try throw their weight around because as Karl Rove pointed out, its what they do: "...That's not the way the world really works anymore.
