I found the inevitable critique. Valid, or not? No idea. I instinctively dislike the using of children ("little Bana Alabed"...say no more), to seduce the public by means of sentiment but she apparently replies to her critics here: http://www.facebook.com/gretathunbergsweden/photos/as-the-rumours-lies-and-constant-leaving-out-of-well-established-facts-continue-/773673599667129/ At first glance the above links look like a heap of vague flim-flam: I don't think I particularly want to waste a couple of hours of my life wading through them looking for any substance... I suppose its the consequence of the celebrity culture of the west: this need to encapsulate an entire war, country, political philosophy etc in one "famous" person: as a corollary demonising or discrediting that one person is an easier task than discrediting an entire nation philosophy or idea: discredit Assad, discredit Assange...discredit Thunberg = discrediting by proxy all they stand for. - that's the actual game anyway whatever the facts are on the individual.
