I see you Sinclair's aphorism and raise you one of mine (that I just made up): It's difficult to get a man to take a principled stand on something when he has no integrity. If Monbiot was a dummy, I might agree, but he's very intelligent and knows the score. He knows very well that Corbyn isn't remotely antisemitic. He knows why he is being targeted. And yet he jumps on the bandwagon anyway. And that's just one example of many. You might call it naivete, but to me that's being overly generous.
