    Wrong. The personal is personal.
The political is and must remain impersonal, as it is wedded to the common good and rooted in Lady Justice, who must remain blind to the emotional dramas so that truth, evidence, Rule of Law, and presumption of innocence is upheld.

As for analyzing media on an anonymous message board, the quality of such a project is greatly diminished, imo, by ideological sloganeering, personal baggage, virtue signalling, petty infighting, and lengthy, indulgent grievance and trolling of threads etc.

(It's a beautiful irony that a certain someone who is guilty of most of the disturbing behaviours listed above, has described my post as 'disturbing'.)

I'm not saying you are particularly guilty of any of it, but I AM saying that the 'personal is political' concept is diabolical and I fully reject it, and recommend you give it another think. Natural Law is not personal. Math is not personal. Truth and Justice is not personal. Pursuit of truth is impossible without the existence of universal principles.

The reason we (we, as in human society) are in so much trouble is because of the dominating ascendancy of moral relativism.

Justice is no longer justice if it becomes multi-tiered. Therefore, there can be no such thing as gender rights and gay rights and black rights and feminist jurisprudence and Hate Crime and the rest of it. These are abominations from the Church of Moral Relativism. Human Rights is a universal concept, and Truth and Justice is a universal standard under which we are ALL equally subject - if not, there is no truth and justice at all.

    Period.

So, to sum up, when I participate in an anonymous, independent message board (and this is the only one I go to) dealing with media and the issues of our time, I generally feel suspicion and annoyance towards those who air their personal shit, who fail to make a case for their statements (appealing to emotion instead), and who clog up the board with pettiness. Such behaviour is what I consider trolling (so it seems my threshold is cruelly much lower than most folks').

    Good day.
