it's hard to see how things would get worse if he was arrested. Thanks, I agree. To my thinking, Uncle Shmuel will do what it ultimately wants anyway. Destabilize using all possible methods including false-flags, infiltration of 'specials', sabotage ... in addition to illegal sanctions and stealing Venezuelan assets (as they did anyway), and generally cause as much discomfort as poss to Venezuelan government. It can't get much worse bar invasion which would happen anyway if they consider the situation 'ripe'. Fortunately, this is unlikely imo. Of course, I am making an assumption that The Random One is acting illegally under their constitution, trying to get the troops to revolt etc. Perhaps they are guided by Russians and Chinese who have advised them to be super-cool and play a long game. Something like Russians did in Syria. But then, as you say, knocking off Guaido would have the same effect. At least by keeping him under arrest Venezuelans would keep him in their sights and thus he would be less likely to be used in this manner. Come to think of it I thought that about a month or so ago ... when he was flitting in and out of Venezuela during the Colombian bridge saga. Best
