It all depends just where the balance of (real) power lies right now amongst the various factions of Archived Message

the English-raj class - of which virtually all the judiciary are members (sigh! If only there were a few real Judge John Deeds!). As with the utter bloody chaos in the Swamp Across The Pond right now, it's sensible to hypothesise that there is dissension amongst the 'elite' factions here too, as in their overlord's capital. Within these mirroring shambleses lies a bit hope and a bit of opportunity for Julian. Despite them mostly being toffs, I don't believe that every single judge is a braying propaganda re-gurgitator who doesn't even realise what a sucker s/he is, the way these two first prats have been. Nor do I believe that every single member of the raj-class is content with the current abominably-shameful status of Britain as USAmerica's abject, arse-kissing b1tch, panting to commit any abominations her master demands (though of course all of them understand acutely well which side their artisan multi-seed bread is greased by their masters). You never know how much of a principled response from some slightly-honourable rajista might be possible to get pulled off, in the midst of all this turmoil. One actually-honourable judge or silk accidentally not excluded from the process, perhaps... And then there's the international pressure from the hoi polloi rabble, building up nicely. Julian's not in the hands of the Swanp-effluents yet; and with luck never will be.
