Had a quick Wiki look; "United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad al Hussein has claimed that the finding is based on international law." and iro the UK; "All treaties must be incorporated if they are to have any effect on domestic legislation. However, treaties may have interpretative value, and judges consider that Parliament, in the absence of clear contrary intention, did not intend for an Act to conflict with a ratified treaty." So it seems a question of, has the part of International Law referred to in the first quote, been incorporated in UK Law, or can it be considered as having "interpretative value" ? I guess different legal experts will have different opinions, according to who is paying for their view !
