I trying to avoid getting into exchanges with you, but I can't help to point-out the whole point is that JC is not just another MP !! He is the Leader of the Official Opposition Party, and as such his word carries a lot of weight, & the flak protection would be that he is in line with the UN findings, but there's also the fact that his principled reputation is based on his long record for opposing things he's doesn't agree with, & very often against the then current Labourship. It's almost like there is an Overton Window or even D-Notice at play here !, and if JC cannot now be as principled as he once was, then what other future principles/people will he jettison for the sake of the expediency of conformity to obtain/remain in power ?
