    It might have a role but i would put years of flagrant abuse of international laws (invasions of various countries, adoption of terrorist orgs by western states, etc) ahead. 20 years back I feel invasion/coopting of foreign soil by way of embassies would have been a serious international incident. Now all it does is undermine the legitimacy of promises made in relation to those within. It's taken us back a hundred or more years.

    There is no refuge for refugees, nor protection by international principles. I'd say a lot of this is down to illegal acts by key nato/euro players going unpunished. We are at best going backward. Metoo definitely has the potential to confuse things; there are few informed people comparatively who know anything about assanges case apart from what the western msm has provided (disinformation), but I don't think on its own it could have paved the way for so much lawlessness. That said, there are few tools in any tool box that do every job..
