'Fascism' is a very loaded term to fling around these days. I had a coupld of Italian mates who I thought were anarchists at first. They seemed very 'leftwing' and looked like a couple of musketeers. So I was surprised when they began seeing Fascist marching songs at a party I'd invited them to! Avanti, avanti, black Fascists, avanti nero! We were still friends though. Girls liked them and they had acess to some particularly fine opium, I seem to remember. I kind of wish that Trump was a real Fascist leader with a powerful movement behind him, maybe that'll be next time around for the working class? Trump's relationship to the political system and the working class is... complex and contradictory. He's more of a white nationalist, sort of. He doesn't have Mussolini's smarts. Mussolini and Italian Fascism are weired. Mussoline imagined himself as a kind of 'social revolutionary', but was still very nationalistic. His ideology was all over the place, and apparently he loathed Hitler with a vengeance. He was a sort of 'glorious fool.'
