Hi D, South Africa operates under Roman-Dutch law. We've had massive, startling leaks of state and corporate material here during the last four years with the press really acting as a journalistic counterpoint to power in this instance, along with authors who published a slew of books - which led to the removal of a sitting President (Zuma). All journalist whistle-blowers and publishers involved in that process are currently unrestrained and protected under constitutional law.
