Did you notice the seamless conflation of social media with the Labour Party? Archived Message

The 'Panorama' programme was quite a clever piece of propaganda - the idea of the young Jewish talking heads detailing how they'd been verbally abused was effective - achieved largely by not dwelling on the detail. The abuse was genuine but suffered on Twitter and other social media where anybody can pretend to be anybody. No evidence whatsoever in most cases that the abusers were members of the Labour Party. Did you also notice the uncritical way the "Disputes' team was questioned? Perhaps it is my increasing age but they all looked very young and very inexperienced to me - were they professional investigators? How many of them had had experience of dealing with these sorts of complaints in previous lines of work? I was struck by one team member who, yet again, repeated the line about Jackie Walker accusing 'the Jews' of being behind the slave trade. Since Jackie's full speech is readily available, I wonder how much real investigating, going back to primary sources etc, this 'Disputes' tem actually did or thought they should do. Also, given the assumption in this programme that anti-semitism is so bad in the Labour Party you can't turn round without falling over or stepping in it, I'm very surprised that no-one who alleged seeing or hearing it could produce no hard evidence. No-one take their phone with them to video or record all of these "I was called a dirty Jew" outbursts?
