I agree, I would have liked to see him attack the "anti-semitic" crowd and defend those MPs. And they are not good signs. Still we have to realize the very peculiar situation he's in: leading a party where the majority of the MPs want to oust you (and a media who want you out and will print lies to that aim). Any utterance of his is construed negatively. Possibly he would have been ditched if he really backed up (say) Livingstone. As it is, he could wait to win a GE, flushing out some Blairite MPs in the process, and invite those people back. But get rid of him and, I think, you get rid of any practical chance of some socialist policies.
