An interesting point though; specifically single farm payment which leaves a lot of land as grazing that might otherwise be (and once was) planted. In the long run it might result in cheaper food if that was the desire from Westminster (as if it ever was..). Most uk lamb for export currently, according to farmers I know (I don't follow it myself). Probably explains why lamb is it a poor person meat in the uk. If you believe the eu markets are not fiddled in favour of the rich you're kidding yourself. That said, without a push, it will be no matter what system we end up under. But, instead of watching it happen again and blaming Brits fir voting wrong, it might be a good place to start trying to adjust that . We might just end up with a self reliant uk, at least in food. Surely a positive goal to shoot for? No chance ATM of course.
