The order has been placed. A snip @ 5 x £250m. https://news.sky.com/story/preferred-bidder-revealed-for-new-fleet-of-royal-navy-frigates-11807446 I was looking at the lists of Secretaries of State for the MoD. There have been 6 since the Coalition, ie 2010 to date - Fox, Hammond, Fallon, Williamson, Mordaunt and now Wallace. So much for continuity. The list of ministers for defence procurement in the same period is just as long. One was in post for six months. Another for two weeks! Now Anne Marie Trevelyan has the job, appointed by Johnson at the end of July. Her 'constituency' accepted £50,000 from Temerko, ostensibly for her election campaign. She came to the 'partei' ex Price Waterhouse Cooper. Nice woman. Opposes the fox hunting ban and supports fracking. |
