The Canal & Rivers trust has refused to divulge any information about the safety of Toddbrook or indeed any reservoir or about their procedures in respect of same on the grounds of national security Whaley Bridge C of E held a service of thanksgiving on Saturday - good old God & his emergency services eh? Bit ironic since (we've also heard) it was the RC priest walking his dog who first spotted a problem and called it in...
