You could argue the semantics of if it's racist or nationalist but it's one or the other and it's offensive. It's stoking up petty old sentiments about the world wars because that's the language that was used then and using that world immediately brings that to people's minds. I doubt it's a coincidence that they used a photo of her with her right arm raised whilst describing her as "a kraut" either. The debate about her being white is moot I think. Something using racist language to stir up racial hatred is wrong. It doesn't matter who it's directed at. |
