Quite. Did you see the horror submarine that Gavin has planned? He's gone but his horror lives on. https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/new-nuclear-missile-submarine-to-be-named-hms-warspite/ Warmongers anonymous in the comments, eg 'Andrew -She looks a beauty!' A £31bn lifetime cost - and the rest, I would suggest. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreadnought-class_submarine' 'As of 2018, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) expects the submarines to enter service in the early 2030s, for a cost of £31 billion. The submarines will have an intended service life of around 35 to 40 years, an increase of around 25% over the previous class. The MoD said in December 2018 that construction of the first submarine was on schedule and within budget.' A predecessor namesake, the sixth to have the name, went through both World Wars. In 1947, she was on her way to be broken up in Faslane, but ran aground on Cornish rocks and broke up. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Warspite_(03) Another predecessor - The latest HMS Warspite was the third of Britain's nuclear-powered submarines, and the second (and final) of the Valiant class. After entering service in 1967 she collided with a Soviet submarine the following year. A mechanical failure associated with the submarine's nuclear reactor in 1991 led to the boat being laid up at HMNB Devonport where she awaits disposal. They all seem to have sticky ends especially for the environment.
