: The only way to fight the defamation, from the : start, was to stand up to it. I agree. However, and I've said it before on this board and elsewhere, the standing up should have begun long, long before all this AS BS. When Hilary Benn stood up in the House of Commons shrilling for the bombing of Syria, that was the time (IMHO), for a new leader to stand up. The future of Britain may look quite different now, if he had. That said, when your backs against the wall, you can cover your face and get the sh** kicked out of you, or you can fight for your life.
