RhG, Arthur Eddington was the first to provide evidence for general relativity (via gravitational lensing). I have an open mind, and appreciate the time you have taken to write this out, but right now these points seem to me to be assertions, or hypotheses/ideas. I assume you cannot really say, for example, whether consciousness is the fundamental basis of reality, or simply the basis for observing reality. Man of course, wants to put him/herself at the center of the universe. I openly subscribe to the view that this is not new thinking it is old thinking. It seems to be a logical non-sequeteur to say on the one hand that consciousness is a fundamental basis of reality, and that it is on the other hand, simply a hard problem of science. Isn't it best to keep an open mind which of theses is really true? I appreciate that the proponents of these ideas may be very good experimentalists, and I also appreciate that the concepts may be true even if unprovable by experimentation. But, without experimentation that can be described openly and reviewed by others they remain in the realm of ideas. These are not ideas that need to be discarded, in my view, but unless they are currently regarded as "possibilities" then in the absence of evidence I think there is a danger that they become beliefs.
