No surprise, same old Murray with his "blindspots" Archived Message

Getting his arse handed on a plate yet again; yes no evidence for his claim of 1 million Uighurs in concentration camps, as all such claims can be traced back to CIA sources, and his comment that "Crimea, of course, should belong to the Tatars who were deported" is counter-factual as 1) they were very much a minority at the time they were deported, 2) from 1990 Tartars have had the right to return, (which included the gift of free land & building material), an offer that 150,000 took up. Whenever I used to highlight such odd irrationality on his part, (which happens a lot around Russia, but sometimes on other topics too), my comments were quickly removed, which is partly why I stopped posting there. Funny how often a supposedly world-wisely former diplomat & "historian" on an area he claims expertise it, comes up short, matched only it seems with how often he has one of his famous occasional lapses of "naivety" on other issues.
