It's legitimate to ask it, but the answer is still the same. If you consistently (as leader) bow to the party, and the party is full of tories/blairites, then aside from placatory words the party will still have sided with the us. Likely, when that happened, apologists would have been saying, it's too early, he's biding his time etc as they did with Obama. Or, it's not the pm that's in control, unfortunately, it's the system itself. The trouble is, jc might have been a nice bloke but never a revolutionary, and you can't change the uks political system from within with any less than revolutionary tactics. As we are seeing now even within the Labour Party itself. The drive is and always was towards total control by the elites. Pre corbyn, everyone here was saying that too, but hope tends to make logic fall on its head.
