It is. But under Johnson, there are likely to be accelerated sell-offs of land and restrictions on access. Which is why Monbiot-type dissent is so useless. The UK had a chance to get an anti-neoliberal government which would have begun confronting, ending and reversing these injustices but it was sabotaged by probably the most aggressive, mendacious, and virulent smear campaigns in human history. And Where was George while all this was happening with the eager participation of his employer? Playing along with the fraud while striking "more-in-sorrow-than-in-anger" poses a la Owen Jones. The lines were drawn as starkly as they could have been during that time, and Monbiot came down on the wrong side, like a good careerist liberal hack. So every decent article he writes in the Johnson era about some horrible injustice or another should have a big asterisk beside it, and a footnote reminding us of how he helped put Johnson in power. Doing a video supporting Corbyn after all the damage had been done was too little too late, and may have just been a desperate credibility-salvaging operation.
