My contention being that people can change...they can so easily cry "pots and kettles" to an inconvenient truth, is it really always worth being "correct" (when one isn't anyway)? His films bore me to death they pander to establishment stereo types, but there are precedents for changes of heart, Eastwood, and Moore both looked back on their gun-totting careers with some embarrassment and funnily enough Grant's most recent roles (I've not seen but clips from "A Very English Scandal"), seem to show some maturity....agreed as a cypher for an economic system and class structure the less privileged are encouraged to see as amusing he was a git..nevertheless not (I think), necessarily an evil one...know thy enemy, there are those who are deliberately "evil"..
