Ref climate. I can't remember how many years back since we had snow and ice here in Surrey in the Winter months. I think it was in the late 80s after the 'hurricane' which flattened forests. The weather forecast for the next three days is 'Heavy rain changing to partly cloudy by early evening'. The river Wey (which joins the Thames at Weybridge)has broken its banks and flooded the low lying land and meadows and the weirs have collapsed. Even a turbine that was installed to convert the power of the water flow into electricity has been overwhelmed and is out of use. Pity the poor souls in N Wales and W Midlands with flooded homes.
