for diff'rent folks, ya know. And it's been very encouraging in later life to discover Dr. John McDougall promoting precisely the sort of plant-starch staple diet which my body signals have always demanded. My GP's practice actually noticed the marked improvement in my stats. once I'd gone onto the McDougal regime full blast. (Two stone of flab melted off without the least effort or hunger pangs in six months, for example, whilst eating (deeply-satisfying ) starch-based meals to appetite (calorie counting? who he?); and no effort in keeping it off now, whilst continuing to do so. Seriously lean now! ) There really isn't just one right diet for everyone. Some need more of this, some more of that. (Whisper it: some even NEED meat!! ) You have to find your own best fit.
