Remember the Costa Concordia that sank off Italy? The captain was busy with a lady. The ship was owned by Costa Crociere, also part of the Arison brand, Carnival.
Cruise ships are heavy polluters by discharging waste at sea and polluting the air. Some ports are compelling ship owners to cut ships' emissions when in port and to connect to onshore electricity supplies.
