Looks to me like the mix of panic and internal saboteurs was too much to handle. A maybe semi-relatable picture that comes to mind is: imagine being the organiser of a really decent sincere, but naive socially, old friend's booze-ridden stag event, say; with half secretly hating the guy and trying to get him arrested / beaten up ... not easy to make good right decisions, and hard for things not to go to $hit. |
