Easy to find the source if you Google the start of the quote. However, the GP is anonymous:- '*Update 15 Apr* - I have recently heard reports that doctors are being discouraged from putting Covid-10 on the MCCD. On 14 Apri 2020 a respondent on a Guardian page, username TiredGP, wrote: "I am a GP in Ms Coffee's constituency, I am informed by the Local Medical Committee that the Coroner in Suffolk has declared that we cannot put Covid-19 as a cause of death on the Medical Cause of Death Certificate unless it is proven*, as no one outside hospital is tested in Suffolk that puts the care-home death rate at virtually zero. That keeps the UKs death rate satisfyingly low and exonerates the government for inaction, spin and under resourcing of the NHS over the last 10years. "*You may think you know why, but I cannot possibly comment." If this practice is widespread it will, obviously, ensure under-reporting of Covid-19 deaths.' That is an extract from:- http://peterenglish.blogspot.com/2020/04/reporting-of-covid-19-deaths.html
