Yes, but in contrast to regular compradors, they have been not only screwing their own people, but the countryfolk of their nomnal masters too. It would be like, say, the Governor of Puerto Rico becoming president of the USA and not only having the power to keep the Puerto Rican people's hopes in check, but also controlling the aspirations of all working people in the US. And then the Puerto Rican people blaming "The Americans" :-) I think that calling them Compradors may be partly true but is a bit of a sleight of hand. - Regards, Shyaku |
