I'm now well but with fevers every day. I tested positive again yesterday after 31 days. I originally had a viral illness with exactly the same symptoms ten days earlier but tested negative and went back to work. In total I think I've had it for 40 days. Unless someone comes up with a treatment I may be confined for some time. I'm sure that whilst influenza infects 18% of the population the infectivity of this illness will mean that a larger part of the population get it.
My nine colleagues back to work after a week except one who had hypoxia and needed oxygen - again exactly in keeping with the stats for early middle aged men - in whom 10% have a more severe illness.
