| I just meant in the sense of how many names are just out of the bible, though how we say those names i suppose is british ('dave' is pretty british i'll grant you). Of course i should have said we have original names of prydain (the celtic names), though many of those are from the bible too (dafydd). Interesting fact (i'm distracting from my flawed assertions now) the name britain came to us via roman sources (i forget the names now), and in the earliest source, they wrote it with a P; a later roman source erroneously started using B, and it stuck. So the welsh name Prydain is the proper name. |
