...and plenty of other resistance movements have used a mix of those tactics, sometimes successfully, sometimes less so. Was it 'childish nonsense' when they did it? Agreed it would be self-sabotaging for XR to go in that direction, having built themselves up as a nonviolent, aboveground mass movement acting in the open with everybody's names known or easily discoverable by the authorities. But there are other ways of organising and other tactics available in the toolkit. Surprised you're so dismissive of them tbh. Like I said to Rhis the actual XR pledges are 1-6 on that list. If you mean painting the streets is immature and a largely pointless symbolic exercise then we're in agreement! cheers, I
