Could be a manifesto for The Workers Party of Britain, couldn't it? Widening the scope of view for a Archived Message

moment, it becomes clear that the fore-seeings of the so-called 'Dystopian' commentators - Greer, Orlov, Kunstler, et al. - are being vindicated right now. Specifically, Greer's contention that the Long Descent (away from the once-only hitech industrial civilisation splurge; the Single Giant Pulse Event in Earth's history) will be step-wise rather than perfectly smooth. That's to say: relatively-smooth, slow shrinkage back from the insane excesses of the past couple of centuries' inherently unsustainable 'growthforever', sure; but punctuated with sudden calamitous lurch-downs; the current covid panic being a text-book example. Things will pick up again, after - as JMG likes to say: "the rubble has stopped bouncing" - but they will never be going back to the status-quo-ante shitstorm that we had before the coming of covid.

    Good thing!

So now, suggestions such as Richard gives here will become the blueprint for how we have to pick up all the pieces in a permanently changed socio-economic reality. Open goal time for outfits such as The Workers Party, innit? Many of their already-declared policies fit right into Richard's prescriptions.

Absolutely delicious that all the utterly bad-faith trashing of Corbyn, which led to the current ludicrous - and fake - FPTP 'majority' for the Bozos in Paedominster, is now going to get its comeuppance, as they either have to grit their teeth and go far beyond what a Corbyn government was proposing, along the emergency line that Richard gives here; or failing that they'll go down in the mother of all chaotic black farces.

Bad news for the English-raj class - I'm smirkingly happy to say. Either way, they're in for a pasting; even abolition altogether if a sufficiently radical socialist faction manages to seize the reins of power. Though of course, one should never overlook the polished, veteran skill of the rajistas, already centuries-old, for screwing profit out of any catastrophe, foreign or domestic, and managing to retain their traditional seat on our shoulders meanwhile.
