Technical, help-a-dinosaur today; Paint program queryArchived Message

I've been trying to post country coronavirus data as I've been doing every 6 days for the last few weeks.
Although the data/table are in spreadsheet form, I post a saved image created in MS Paint as that way I can use Post Image to create a link in the post, so that the picture opens when the post is read. Flash showed me how to do this.
To get from the spreadsheet table to an image I do CTRL-printscreen and then paste the screenshot into Paint. As this screenshot contains the whole screen at this stage, I then crop the rectangular bit containing just the data table, and copy this to the clipboard, open a new Paint file and paste into it. After saving the resulting picture and uploading it via Post Image I can put the Post Image link into the post. It then opens as seen, or has done - but not any more. It now opens but instead of seeing the rectangle selected and saved as is, there is now a huge blank space underneath the table. I think Paint saves it differently now - with the pasted table pic being part of a much bigger blank space, which means the added text in the post will be a long way underneath it, making it pretty much unreadable.
I also got hold of Paint.Net and tried that, but that had the same problem, ie although the table/data seem to be filling the screen while in the paint program, in the saved file the table occupied a much smaller space.
I don't think I'm doing anything different. When in Post Image and selecting a saved file I can see the new file is different from the old ones, which show just the table with no large blank space.
I've looked at just pasting data in the post but the different sizes of numbers and country names make it jumbled.
Anyone know an easy way to put a (quite wide) table of numbers in a post and line it up? Cheers
